Everyone always loves my toe headed husband. Who speaks their language just as well as they do. He always tells them that he is brown on the inside. We got extra special treatment from these two. They cooked us a special chicken lunch one day. Then ANEY the waiter decorated the table that we sat at on our last night. He put candles all over is and then put little flowers everywhere. They were great! We had a lot of fun with them.
Our guide showing off. His great diving techniques

We made it out alive. Can you believe how awesome that was. Everyone should experience this in their life time.
We did get the option to slide on a couple and that was great. This is one of the bottom pools we jumped into.

If you look close you can see one of us sliding down. This was very fun!
Time to Jump. Jayme had some serious problems during this part. Our poor guides were ready to just push me. I even got a big IYIIIII!

It was about 20 to 25 feet that we had to jump and let me tell ya I don't like heights at all! I wanted another way out, but, well there wasn't one! Jumping was the only way down.
These were our great guides. They defiently went the extra mile for us. Talk about strong kids too. They would just grab your life jacket and throw you up the waterfall if you were having any trouble getting up.

  • This is just part of the waterfalls they were so beautiful! The water wasn't to cold, this is some of the prettiest landscaping I have ever seen.

Cascading

This is the begginning of our trek through the jungle to go Cascading. Cascading in spanish means waterfalls. So we had to climb waterfalls and then to get back down....well we had to JUMP. It was so amazing.

Bull Riding

This is the biggest bull I have ever seen. He is 3,190 pounds. He is seven years old and they are very proud of him. It was a little scary getting on him at first but he doesn't move at all. So we all went for an 8 second ride and won!
This is how they get around town most of the time. They call one of these motorcycle taxi's to take them where they need to go. I thought it was a great picture. I missed some other great ones of them holding dead chickens. Also 4 to 5 people on one motorcycle at a time, they are very brave.

This is one of the little boys who stole my heart. He was such a cutie.

Market Place

We did some looking around in the market place, this was on our way to go Cascading which is the coolest thing we did. Pictures will soon follow. We bought ice cream for the kids here and passed them out with balloons it was a fun treat for us.

BINGO

Did you say BINGO? Meredith and I played bingo....No wins here, just a good time to be had by all. Our game pieces kept flying away and we couldn't keep our beans on the table.

This was our great trip to Paradise Island....yeah right you mean parasite Island. It was not the greates trip, but we made the best of it. Like I said before very scary driving we were actually hit head on in the bus we were on the they stoped for a minute then left the scene. It was so crazy. The island that they call paradise is a VERY small sand bar somewhere off the coast and getting there is much more than an adventure that we bargained for.

Lets get started

This was the first day there. We got to experience the great driving of the 3rd world countries on the way to the hotel pretty scary. This is the beach that our hotel was on.
Meredith and Martin are our great traveling buddies they are always up for the challenge and adventures we have.

Dominican Republic

Well we have made it home from the Dominican. I wish we would have booked 10 days. We weren't quite ready to come home and face reality; but here we are and I have some great pictures to show how much fun we had in the sun. The weather was great no to hot not cold, just perfect. People were so friendly and loving we had a wonderful time getting to know the people from our hotel and on our tours. The Dominican's are very loving people.
