Christmas in Orlando

Well the Lewis' tried something new this year. We decided to take a vacation for our Christmas and we went to Orlando. It was a good vacation. We stayed at the Nickelodeon Hotel and that was very fun for the kids! The rooms are extreamly small.....but being with the charaters made up for it. We got to eat breakfast with them twice and it was so much fun to watch the kids especially the little ones with the charaters. Grayson kept yelling over here Dora, and asking if we were at Dora's house. We went to Sea World, Bush Gardens, and of course Gatorland. The weather was perfect it was in the 80's almost the whole time. Grandpa Lewis came with us too. Here are some pictures of the trip. Hope you are all having a wonderful Holiday season.

Look at these sweet little angels! The sun and swimming sure does the trick for them to take a nap. They were out like a light.

This is a little blury, but she is giving the just a minute mom! Wait.....I will, just wait etc.

Grayson can get herself in and out of the boat now. It is so nice to have independent children. She loves to just swim around at the back of the boat. She won't jump off by herself yet but she will let you hold her and jump it. It is so funny she ducks her head into her life jacket and then she is ready to go. She will even count with you.

We had a big pontoon boat next to us, so we decided to try out the slide one night. It was so much fun. Grayson even went down it. The boys were going frontwards and backwards.

Brady and Hudson are so brave! They are jumping off the top of the boat. Brady still does somewhat of a belly flop....can you say ooch!

Theres that sexy man of mine. Jarad actually did the laundry while we were there!! Maybe we should get stranded more often. I think that is a record for him to actually do all of the laundry in one day!
The kids loved Lake Patoka, the water was so warm it was purrrrfect. We had the dock pretty much to ourselves. The kids loved jumping from the dock to Big Bertha and just soaking up the sun.

Michelle and I were going down the slide on a tube, but by the time you got to the end it went straight off. Really good time.

We had a great time with friends this summer too. We all had so much fun hang'in in the pool and going down the slide. Michelle Dunahee was a bigger kid than anyone.

Summer Fun

Wow I can't believe that summer is already gone. The weather here has cooled off very nicely and quickly. Last year we were still able to boat in October....not looking likely this year. The kids have had a great time playing in the back yard. We got a big slip-n-slide, that kept them busy most days we also had a above ground pool for them so they were water babies the whole summer. We spent 2 weeks on our boat in a place called Lake Patoka, it was great, and as usual we had some Lewis Luck to go along with it all. We were 20 miles away from the lake and the clutch on our truck went out. So we had to call 2 tow trucks one to take the truck to the nearest town 50 miles away and one to take us to the lake. Then we were stranded no cell service no vehicles to go anywhere at least they had a marina with the neccessities for us. Addison went to Washington for 2 weeks and then to Utah. When she got to Utah she decided to try roller blading not very smart! She fell and broke her elbow...the same one she broke 5 years ago. So I got to fly out at the last minute to be with her. They decided not to do surgery, so after they released her she really didn't care that I was there. That made me have a great little vacation by myself. I got to see my family and friends and had a great time.

Slacker Blogger

Okay so I have had several people bring to my attention that I really am not a great blogger when it comes to keeping it updated. So I have finally updated the last few months. I will pledge to do better from here on out......I think. Hope you all enjoy and its a good thing to have people bug me or I would probably just forget about it. This isn't a big update, but it is something. Jarad and I are leaving for Chicago tomorrow on our boat so I will try and take some great picutres so I have more to post when I get back.

Kitchen Floor

So we finished the floor last week and it turned out so cool. It was hard work, not so sure I would want to do it again, except I have about 1,000 feet left to finish so I really have no choice. Any how sanding, staining and poly pretty much sums it up. We made it 3 different shades as you can see. We really like it. It gives the kitchen a much more finished look. We are rounding 3rd base and heading for the home strech......wait I still have how many more fee to lay and finish, maybe we are just leaving home base!

Grayson turns 2

Grayson turned two on the 24th of April. She loved her new cloths and the baby doll that she got, cries, sucks a bottle, and laughs it is so cute she takes it pretty much everywhere with her. She is a good little mommy.

Easter

The kids had a great time coloring eggs. We didn't have the big easter egg hunt like usual it was a little chilly here so we colored eggs and played some games. The kids all got a hooded towel so they won't fight over who's is who's they were a big hit.

Kitchen pictures

Here are some pictures of the finished product. I love my prep sink it is so nice to have two sinks. Jarad built all of the black cabinets and I finished them I think they turned out really well. So far everything is coming together well.

Taking down the wall

So we finally got the wall down from the garage which is now the kitchen to make it part of the house. Here are some of the highlights Brady thought that the heater was a motorcycle. All Hudson wanted to do was swing the hammer. Then Grayson was my clean up crew. Addison was lucky to be at school and get out of the work.

Kids cutting their hair

So Brady and Hudson decided that they wanted to be bald like thier Uncle Luke. Luke came to see us in March and they thought his head was awesome so they got into the clippers by them selves and this is what happended. Then I ended up with two kids who look like the midget from Austin Powers. Luckily the hair has grown back.

Kitchen Remodel

We have been turning our garage into a new kitchen for quite sometime now. This is how far we have come. Jarad and the guys have been building a lot of it and they are as always a huge lifesaver for us. We are waiting for the granite counter tops right now. They have been here to measure twice. So I am hoping it will be by my birthday at least.

Brady did a great job too. His helmet is as big as him. They had so much fun. I wish it would snow more here. We miss sledding in Utah.

Hudson is a natural at pretty much anything he tries. He also is the dare devil of the family. We have a tree house in the back that has fallen so he tried to go off of it with a large drop. He did it too. I made him put on his helmet just in case.

Snowboarding

We had somewhat of a snow storm so the Grandpa bought the kids a snowboard and they were outside learing on a very small bump that we have in the back yard. It was pretty entertaining. We did go across the street to the park later and try out a larger slop.

I know that she is my child, but she is one gorgeous girl!
